Indoor Cellular Survey

Set-up takes about two minutes. Do the steps in order.

  1. Install F-Droid Basic

    Download it from f-droid.org and open the downloaded file to install. Choose Basic, not the full F-Droid app.

  2. Add this repository

    Scan this code with F-Droid, or open the link on the phone itself.

  3. Install the survey app from F-Droid

    Find Indoor Cellular Survey in F-Droid and install it there. This matters: installing any other way permanently disables automatic updates on this phone.

  4. Turn on automatic updates

    In F-Droid, open Settings and make sure automatic updates are enabled. Security updates then install on their own.

  5. Scan your survey QR code

    Open the app and scan the code from your job brief to connect it.

Install from inside F-Droid, in step 3. Downloading the app file directly works once, but the phone will then never update itself — and you will not be told that it has stopped.
